So Nintendo’s E3 2015 sucked. That’s a given. Even if you had low expectations it is something that felt disappointing in that they spent a lot of time talking about games we have known about with some focus on the new stuff. Without the “megatons” coming in like Shenmue 3 or living up to the expectations that E3 2014 set, it isn’t exactly the kind of red meat that U owners were hoping for.
The over-reactive hyperventilating that has taken place in the wake of the conference is such a site to behold that it has gained attention from some mainstream news sites like Yahoo News.
That petition is outright absurd, worthy of many facepalms for the nuke-level grade misunderstanding of economics and why Nintendo doesn’t give every single franchise the ‘epic scale HD treatment’ (Hint: it has to make more than it took to produce and epic scale HD games take millions more dollars to produce than than non-HD or small scale games). But if you think that “thousands of fans” is what warrants that, then you might need a head examination. Not to mention, if you believe this petition, you might not realize that Nintendo has made a hefty living off of spin-offs, but now they are suddenly the worst thing ever. But hey, let’s pass final judgement on a small amount of development footage of a game, stomp our feet until we get our way while simultaneously write Nintendo off for hurting our feels, since video games are more important than anything else in life.
Probably the best suggestion to the hordes of crybabies, whiners and dumb petition writers:
That would primarily fall under “Repeat to yourself, “It’s just a show, I should really just relax!”
